About Julien Rose, CNM, WHNP

Julie is a passionate advocate for reproductive rights and justice and aims to help her clients make healthy decisions about when, if, and how to become a parent. Her favorite part about her work at FemGyn is talking with her patients so she can help them make informed choices.

Julie studied Psychology as an undergraduate at UCLA and then received a Master’s degree in Health Education from Teachers’ College, where she became intrigued by Midwifery as a career. She attended NYU’s accelerated Nursing program and then worked as a labor and delivery nurse while pursuing her Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery at NYU. She worked as a full-scope Midwife for the Brooklyn Hospital Center and in an ambulatory center in Williamsburg, later taking many years off to raise her children. Always loving teaching, she continued to teach expectant parents about childbirth, the postpartum period, feeding and caring for their newborn, and helping adoptive parents get ready for the arrival of their child, for two decades.

Julie is happy being back to clinical work at FemGyn with a new focus on aging and Menopause, and on trauma-centered care.
